She studied Playwriting at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Cuba and Film Directing at the Escola de Mitjans Audiovisuals in Barcelona. Her award-winning short films Ellas (2012) and Lula (2013) screened at numerous international festivals. Her feature documentary Los que se quedaron (2015) received multiple awards, festival selections across Latin America, Europe, and Canada, and was broadcast on TV3 and Cuban television. She later codirected Barcelonnabis (2015) and has written, directed, and edited several short films.
