Soumaya Hidalgo Djahdou (Spain, 1993) is an artist with a multicultural background and formal education in four languages. Her work seeks to bridge cultural divides. Driven by her interest in preserving her grandmother’s fading Berber dialect, she began research that evolved into her first documentary, “The Flight of the Stork,” awarded at the 2024 Documenta Madrid market.
