Karla Luna Cantú is a filmmaker from Mexico. In 2018, she graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and was featured in The Hollywood Reporter as one of the five most promising emerging film undergraduates of her year. Shortly after, she joined acclaimed director Alejandro G. Iñárritu as his personal assistant, and later went on to executive produce BARDO, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths (2022). Most recently, she produced Vainilla (2025), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Morelia International Film Festival. Building on her experience as a producer, Karla is now focusing on writing and directing her own films.
