Juanjo Rueda is an Andalusian filmmaker based in Madrid. His work straddles the line between documentary essay and
poetic fiction, exploring how the landscape is imbued with myths, emotions, and memory. His films have been
screened at festivals such as the True/False Film Festival, the Tirana Film Festival, FIC Guadalajara, Seminci, the
Málaga Film Festival, and the Huesca International Film Festival, among others. Throughout his career, he has
received a number of awards, including the Silver Biznaga at the Málaga Film Festival, the Rosario Valpuesta Award at
the Seville Film Festival, and the Golden Gullón at the Aguilar de Campoo Film Festival. He has been nominated for the
ASECAN Awards and the Carmen Awards from the Andalusian Film Academy.
