Hedda Mjøen is a writer and director from Oslo, Norway. Her projects, often based on true stories, explore ethical dilemmas and controversial topics like racism, religion, sexual violence and mental illness. Mjøen strives to create compelling, thought-provoking stories that offer nuance and fresh perspectives on subjects that are often polarized in the media and public discourse. Mercy is her first short fiction film as a director, inspired by true events.
