As a director on scripted projects, Hansel has collaborated with Oscar-nominated executive producers and BAFTA nominated actors. His Straight 8 featured in Cannes Film Festival as chosen by Robbie Ryan and Asif Kapadia. He is a joint winner of the prestigious Dreammakers Award — featured in The Hollywood Reporter and Variety — where his short Homing (co-created with Lizzie Atherton) is executive produced and mentored by J.A.Bayona. A recipient of the Emerging Voices Award, Hansel is also part of the BFI Beyond Shorts cohort, mentored by Charlotte Regan (Scrapper).
His documentaries have earned multiple festival accolades and are supported by Emmy-winning Ventureland Studios.
