Gonzalo Ruiz Esteban. Born in 1993 in Málaga. He began his career as a fiction director in 2020 with his first short film, El Truco, which received selections at festivals around the world. He was awarded the Málaga Film Festival Creation Grant for this short film, mentored by Alberto Rodríguez. He also received second prize at the Málaga Crea 2021 competition.
He has combined his passion for cinema with his work as a director and editor of music videos and advertising campaigns for Xiaomi, Real Betis, Sevilla FC, among others. He currently works at the Seville-based advertising production company KRTV. Las Desqueridas is his second fiction short film, co-directed with Charlie García.
