Berta Vicente Salas holds a Master’s in Documentary Cinema from the EICTV in Cuba and a degree in Humanities from the Open University of Catalonia. She was a speaker at TEDxYouth and was recognized by Flickr as one of the best twenty photographers under 20 years old.
A Pulitzer Center grantee, she is currently combining long-term photographic projects with cinematography and the development of a non-fiction film. Berta’s work focuses on themes that intertwine memory, the construction of identity, and the banalization of violence against bodies and nature.
