Born in Rabat in 1990, Amine Zeriouh is a self-taught filmmaker who transitioned from industrial engineering to the world of cinema. His work delves into the complexities of the human condition, drawing significant inspiration from literary references. His debut short, “Quo Vadis, Meryem!”, premiered at the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival as a contemporary reimagining of Anton Chekhov. Following this, he directed the experimental film “Who’s Knocking on My Door?”, a family-centered project shot in a single day in Larache. “Saida” marks his third cinematic venture, produced by Zakia Smidi through their independent company, Galip Films.
